January 2019 Press Round-Up

Submitted by HedonisticHiking on 24 Jan 2019

2019 has got off to a good start and particularly in the UK press where we’ve been popping up in all sorts of publications. Olive magazine, which is guaranteed to whet anyone’s appetite, focusses on the fact that foodie holidays can still be healthy. Leading the selection of the best healthy holidays for foodies are our Piedmont tours which combine fabulous alpine hiking with a gastronomic scramble through the region’s most enticing local produce. We still have spaces on our Jewels of Piedmont tour in October and just one spot on our Best of the Italian Alps tour in July.

Elsewhere, journalist Jane Keightley has written about her experiences on our Palio of Siena tour for the Daily Mail. Jane takes us on her day-by-day journey during which she learnt much about the different contrade and the event’s rituals. Away from the 4-day Palio festival, there was plenty of time to enjoy some great food and wine, indulge in some gentle Tuscan hill walking and even learn how to make pasta! You can read her article here.  We are already taking expressions of interest for 2020 for the Palio tour.
